Amy C. Storey Artist Statement
My painting is an open ended exploration co-created in dialogue with my materials. Starting from the standpoint that there is no nothing, my work is predicated upon faith in the reality of the invisible, in revelation. In the act of making the invisible visible, pictorial life is not imitated life but rather a created reality.
Invention becomes a relational bridge or carrier of meaning.
The work is an other for us to encounter.
